Not a Pretty Girl

This is a good album for me right now, with equal parts sass and
reflection, and with plenty of songs I can sing along to at the top
of my lungs. My personal favorite on here (at this moment) is "Hour
Follows Hour," mostly because Ani does for me what she does for so
many girls the world over and captures part of my own story in her
song. Other great songs on here are "Shy" and the title track "Not a
Pretty Girl," as well as the famous "32 Flavors" which was so
disappointingly covered by Alana Davis a couple years ago. Honestly,
no one can deliver lines like Ani can, and you shouldn't even try:
"and god help you if you are a phoenix/and you dare to rise up from
the ash..."
