A worthy tribute to Gram Parsons by many artists I love. I'd heard of Gram before I purchased this album, but this was my first real exposure to his tunes. I'm pretty embarrassed about that, but I also think I'm the ideal audience for a tribute album. No preconceived notions of what anything should sound like. Instead I can just enjoy these artists doing their thing. Emmylou Harris was one of the executive producers and also sings on three tracks, and there are plenty of other notable artists on here, including the Pretenders, the Cowboy Junkies, Beck, Evan Dando, Juliana Hatfield, Steve Earle, and Gillian Welch. So much country-rock goodness.
